CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Call for abstracts has now closed. However, don’t despair! We will open a late submission round for abstracts on late breaking science. These abstracts will be only for poster presentations and will not be eligible for a travel award. Please make sure you sign up to our mailing list for notification.
The majority of abstracts will be accepted for Poster presentation. All abstracts are being reviewed by the Program and Scientific Committees and a very small number of the highest rated abstracts will be selected for oral presentation in Highlights sessions for each topic area.
PUBLISHING OF ABSTRACTS
As all accepted abstracts will be published online at Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, this is an excellent way of having your work published and also learning from world experts who will presenting at the Conference. You won't be required to submit a full paper - only the abstract will get published online at Frontiers in Human Neuroscience. After the Conference, and once you have presented your abstract at the Conference, the Conference will cover the cost of submission to Frontiers.

Full abstract review to select submissions for Oral Presentation and Student Travel Awards (available to FULL TIME students only) will be conducted after closing of the final submission deadline and outcomes will be notified in April 2014.

ABSTRACT FORMAT REQUIREMENTS
All abstracts MUST be submitted in accordance with these requirements. You will be required to confirm acceptance of these guidelines when submitting an abstract.
You can only submit one abstract for the Conference.
Information required to submit an abstract is:
Abstract Information
- Title – 500 characters maximum and MUST be in Initial Capital/Lower Case, not in CAPITALS
- Abstract text – maximum of 2000 characters including spaces. The abstract should have a clear integrative focus, succinctly outlining your topic
- Abstracts must be complete, outlining background, methods, results and conclusions, and must report original data
- Graphics cannot be included. Abstracts must be text only
- Abstracts must be free of typographical and grammatical errors
- Standard abbreviations may be used for common terms only. Otherwise, any abbreviation should be given in brackets after the first full use of the word. Abbreviations may be used in the title, provided the name in full is outlined in the body of the abstract.
- Keywords – you must include at least five (5) keywords and these MUST be separated by commas
- Presentation type – choose Poster Only OR Poster or Oral as you preferred option. Please be aware that the majority of abstracts will be accepted as Poster presentations
Author Information
- The presenting author MUST be entered as Author 1 (Presenting Author)
- You need to complete email address, title and name for each author
- You have the option to list a maximum of two (2) affiliations for each author. Choose the organisation category and type from the dropdown menus
- You can include up to 10 authors maximum for each abstract
REVIEW OF ABSTRACTS
- The Programme and Scientific Committee will review all abstract submissions
- Abstracts will be evaluated on the basis of scientific merit by peer review. Abstracts that are unethical, incomplete or for which results are not apparent will not be considered for inclusion in the program.
- Accepted abstracts will be published in the online journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience. Submitting an abstract is taken as permission for publication
GENERAL POLICIES & REQUIREMENTS
- All abstracts must be original work and cite relevant authors
- Abstracts must be written in English and be free of typing/grammatical errors so please proofread your abstract. Accepted abstracts will be printed as submitted so it’s important you ensure you do not submit with any errors
- All submissions must be completed electronically via the online submission website. If you are unable to submit in this manner, please contact the Conference Organisers to discuss options. The Conference Organisers will not be held responsible for abstract submissions that are not received via the website or for any submission errors.

- If the abstract is accepted, the presenting author must register for the Conference and pay the registration fee in order to present at the Conference and to ensure publication of their abstract in Frontiers of Human Neuroscience
- Only abstracts complying with the instructions and guidelines will be reviewed – any abstracts received not complying with the instructions will be disqualified from being accepted
NOTIFICATION
Notifications to authors will be sent out approximately at the end of April.
All correspondence will be emailed to the address entered by you at the time of submission. Should you have co-authors also attending the Conference, please ensure you pass relevant correspondence on to them.
